Location Spotlight: 312 Pizza Company
In Nashville, there are a few places that come to our minds when it comes to pizza, one of them being 312 Pizza Company who serves authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza and has a great side patio. When we were in need of an outdoor cafe location for a recent production, we knew that we wanted to reach out to them.
312 Pizza Company was more than happy to let us use the patio. We didn’t need to adjust exterior at all, so we were able to have our production crew set-up quickly. Sometimes when working on location, we have to prop the set to accommodate our needs for filming, but we were lucky that the location was exactly how we needed it—saving time and daylight. Working quickly and efficiently is always a goal when on location and utilizing space that will need to be used by patrons as soon as possible. We don’t even want you to know that we were there.
Sidenote: During this shoot, we were able to use some new toys, such as the Ronin Steadicam. It made following the actor around seamlessly.
Steadicams are a great addition to any crew, and these camera stabilizers have become the standard for many projects that involve the camera following the talent moving through an irregular pattern.
Okay, back to the 312 Pizza Company: With the city of Nashville becoming a hub of film and television, it is always helpful to have a few locations we know we can film at in our back pocket. The great thing about working locally is that we are able to support our neighborhood businesses and hope to only grow our partnerships with businesses right around the corner and all over Nashville.
We will be showing off this recent Nashville video production project soon.
